Best Comeet Alternatives in 2026: 11 Tools for Faster, More Effective Hiring

Start with the thing most comparison pages have not updated: Comeet is no longer sold as Comeet.
Visit comeet.com/pricing today and you land on a page headed "Spark Hire Pricing." The product is Spark Hire Recruit, the plans are named Recruit Pro and Recruit Growth, and the entry price is $335 a month billed annually.
If you are evaluating "Comeet" against other systems, you are really evaluating Spark Hire, and the numbers you find in older articles no longer apply.
That single change is the reason for most searches on this term, so this guide covers what happened, what it costs now, and which alternatives make sense for the specific thing Comeet was good at: collaborative hiring where hiring managers do real work in the system.
What happened to Comeet
The hiring playbook, in your inbox
One email a week - benchmarks, AI screening tactics, and short interview templates from the 100Hires team. No product pitches.
Comeet launched in 2013 as a collaborative recruiting platform, built on the idea that hiring is a team sport and the ATS should distribute work to hiring managers rather than concentrate it in a recruiter's queue.
In June 2023, Spark Hire, a video interviewing company backed by Boathouse Capital, announced a merger with Comeet. Spark Hire's CEO Josh Tolan remained chief executive of the combined business.
Spark Hire's own write-up later described the logic bluntly: "Comeet's applicant tracking system will be additive to Spark Hire's product offering."
One-way video interviewing landed inside the ATS in February 2024. By late 2024 the Comeet brand had been absorbed, and the product is now marketed as the applicant tracking system inside Spark Hire's suite.
None of that is inherently bad.
A video interviewing company acquiring an ATS is a reasonable strategy, and Spark Hire acknowledged in a 2025 post that the move "raised some eyebrows."
But it changes three things a buyer should care about: who sets the roadmap, what the price floor is, and whether the collaborative-hiring DNA that made Comeet distinctive is still the priority.
What Spark Hire Recruit costs
Prices below are from the pricing page served at comeet.com, checked on 25 July 2026.
| Plan | Price | Company size cap | Notable inclusion |
|---|---|---|---|
| Recruit Pro | From $335 per month, billed annually | Up to 200 employees | Video interviewing included |
| Recruit Growth | From $499 per month, billed annually | Up to 500 employees | Predictive behavioural assessment |
| Enterprise | Quote only | Above 500 employees | Requisition approvals, offer approvals, programmatic export |
Three details deserve attention before you shortlist it.
Annual billing only on the published plans. There is no monthly escape hatch at the advertised rate, so this is a twelve-month commitment.
The quoted rates are for companies up to 50 employees. The vendor's own FAQ states that pricing changes for companies above 50 employees, while the plan caps sit at 200 and 500. So $335 is a floor, not a forecast.
Employee count is the meter, not hiring volume. A 180-person company hiring six people a year sits in the same band as a 180-person company hiring sixty.
For context on where that lands in the market: Software Advice put entry-level ATS plans at around $70 per user per month in 2026, with enterprise solutions exceeding $335 per month.
Comeet's own pre-merger resource on ATS costs told readers to "expect to pay $60 to $100 per user each month." A $335 monthly floor is at the upper end of the small-business range, and it buys video interviewing you may or may not need.
Reasons teams look for an alternative
The searches cluster into four patterns, and only one of them is about features.
- Post-acquisition uncertainty. The most common one. Your vendor was acquired, your account manager changed, and you want to know what else exists before renewal.
- The price floor. $335 a month annually is roughly $4,020 a year committed. Teams hiring a handful of people a year can spend a fraction of that.
- Paying for video interviewing you do not use. It is bundled into Pro. If your process is phone screen then onsite, you are funding a module you will not open.
- Wanting the collaborative model without the suite. Comeet's strength was structured hiring-manager involvement. Several standalone ATSs now do that as well or better.
Four questions to ask before you renew
Most people on this page are not shopping yet, they are deciding whether to shop. These four answers settle it faster than any comparison table.
- What does my rate become at 210 employees, and at 510? Both numbers cross a plan cap. Ask for the figure now rather than discovering it at renewal.
- What is the video interviewing module worth to us in practice? Pull your own usage data. If nobody has sent a one-way interview in six months, you are paying for it anyway.
- What is committed on the ATS roadmap specifically? Not the suite, not video, not assessments. The applicant tracking product.
- What does leaving cost operationally? Ask for a full data export in a documented format before you need it. A vendor that hesitates has answered a different question.
Alternatives for collaborative hiring teams
These are chosen for the job Comeet actually did: distributing hiring work across a team of 50 to 500 people, with structure rather than a shared inbox. Sourcing tools and agency CRMs are deliberately excluded, because they solve a different problem.
Pinpoint
The closest match on philosophy: clean interface, strong hiring-manager experience, popular with 100 to 500-person companies.
Quote-only, though a buyer in a 2025 r/recruiting thread reported "their basic plan came in at around $10k for up to 250 employees." Note that this is employee-count pricing again.
Greenhouse
The reference implementation of structured hiring: scorecards, interview kits, defined roles. Quote-only.
Buyers on Reddit report roughly $6,000 to $12,000 a year depending on size and tier, with one 80-person company saying they "just renewed with them and it was about $12k for their top tier with all the bells and whistles."
Choose it if interview structure and reporting are the priority and the budget exists. Its most consistent criticisms are support responsiveness and pace of product change.
Teamtailor
Career-site and employer-brand strength with collaborative workflows, widely used in Europe. Quote-only.
A buyer comparing it against Pinpoint and Kula described it as good but "a little busy from a UX/UI perspective" with meaningful setup time for templates and disposition reasons.
Workable
Published pricing and the widest job-board reach: $299 per month for Standard, $599 for Premier, $719 for Enterprise in the 1 to 20 employee band.
Budget for the add-ons, which stack: texting $89, video interviews $109, assessments $59, performance and engagement $39 per month, plus metered AI credits.
Directly comparable to Spark Hire Recruit on price, with monthly billing available.
JazzHR
The transparent-pricing option: $1,000 a year for Hero, $3,480 for Plus, $5,508 for Pro. Hero starts at three job postings a month, so read the job limits against your volume. Sits under Employ Inc. alongside Lever and Jobvite.
Breezy HR
Has a genuinely free tier, then $157 per month for Startup, $273 for Growth and $439 for Business on annual billing ($189, $329 and $529 monthly). The right answer if your hiring volume is low and the $4,020 annual commitment is the objection.
Ashby
Analytics-led, aimed at scaling teams, published entry at $400 a month with annual discounts. One warning from recent buyer discussion: seat definitions matter enormously, because hiring managers can count as billable seats. Read the seat clause before signing.
100Hires
Our product. Published plans from $49 a month, AI screening and sourcing included at the higher tiers, monthly or annual billing. Detail and honest limits below.

Our verdict
If you are a current Comeet customer, the merger alone is not a reason to leave. Ask the four questions in the section above, get the answers in writing, and only then decide.
If the $335 floor is the objection and you hire modestly, you are overpaying by design. Breezy HR's free tier, JazzHR at $1,000 a year, or 100Hires at $49 a month all cost a fraction of a $4,020 annual commitment.
If collaborative hiring is genuinely what you need, Pinpoint and Greenhouse are the closest replacements, and both will be quote-only, so expect a sales process. Pinpoint for interface and mid-market fit, Greenhouse for interview structure and reporting depth.
Where 100Hires fits, and where it does not
100Hires is an applicant tracking system for small and mid-sized in-house teams. Published plans: Start at $49 per month billed annually ($99 monthly) for up to 100 candidates a month.
Advanced at $199 annually ($249 monthly) with unlimited jobs, candidates and users, automated emails, a custom domain and knockout questions.
Pro at $399 annually ($499 monthly) adds sourcing, contact enrichment and onboarding support. Capterra rating is 4.9 from more than 1,100 reviews as of July 2026. The free trial can post to job boards.

100Hires is the wrong choice if:
- Video interviewing is central to your process. That is Spark Hire's origin and core competency. If one-way video is how you screen, staying put is the rational answer.
- You need enterprise requisition and offer approval chains. Multi-step approvals across legal entities are what Spark Hire's Enterprise tier and Greenhouse are for.
- You are above roughly 500 employees with a dedicated recruiting-operations function. Greenhouse, Ashby and Avature are built for that operating model.
- You are an agency billing clients. You want an agency CRM: Bullhorn, Loxo or Recruit CRM.
- Pre-hire assessments must be native. Growth-tier predictive assessment is a real Spark Hire feature; we integrate rather than provide it.
If your objection is the annual commitment or the bundled modules, see 100Hires pricing or start a free trial.
Comparing the wider field first is reasonable too: our Workable alternatives and Greenhouse alternatives guides cover the two most common shortlisting partners for this decision.
Frequently asked questions
Is Comeet still available?
Not under that name. Spark Hire merged with Comeet in June 2023 and the applicant tracking system is now sold as Spark Hire Recruit. The comeet.com pricing page serves Spark Hire's pricing, with plans named Recruit Pro and Recruit Growth. Existing Comeet contracts transitioned to the combined company.
How much does Spark Hire Recruit cost?
Recruit Pro starts at $335 per month and Recruit Growth at $499 per month, both billed annually, for companies up to 50 employees. Pro is available up to 200 employees and Growth up to 500, with pricing changing above 50 employees. Above 500 employees the Enterprise tier is quote-only. Video interviewing is included in Pro; predictive behavioural assessment comes with Growth.
What is the cheapest Comeet alternative?
Breezy HR's free Bootstrap tier costs nothing for very low volume. Among paid options, 100Hires starts at $49 per month billed annually and JazzHR at $1,000 a year, both well below a $4,020 annual commitment at Spark Hire's entry price. Workable at $299 per month is the closest direct substitute on features, though add-ons raise the real total.
Which alternatives keep Comeet's collaborative hiring approach?
Pinpoint and Greenhouse are the closest on philosophy: both are built around structured hiring-manager participation rather than a recruiter-only queue. Teamtailor is a reasonable third option, particularly in Europe. All three are quote-only, so budget for a sales cycle rather than a self-serve signup.
Should I switch ATS because my vendor was acquired?
Not automatically. Acquisitions matter when they change price, roadmap priority or support quality, and those are testable. Ask what your rate looks like as headcount grows, which modules are now bundled and charged for, and what the specific product commitment is for the ATS rather than the wider suite. Migrating an ATS costs real weeks, so only move when the answers are genuinely bad.
