100Hires got faster: pipeline boards in 1.8 seconds instead of 14
In August we measured how fast 100Hires loads for the accounts that use it the most. Pipelines, candidate lists and the tasks page were slow for exactly the teams with the most candidates, sometimes taking more than ten seconds. In September we rebuilt how these screens load their data.

Pipeline boards and candidate lists now fetch candidates in batches instead of one by one, and stages are loaded together. The tasks page no longer makes two extra requests for every task card. The jobs list, list counters, search suggestions and the Messages list got the same treatment.
The numbers
Measured in production after the release: a pipeline board now shows its last candidate card in 1.8 seconds instead of 14. The candidates list responds in 0.42 seconds instead of 1.24, and one page of it needs 322 database queries instead of 2,037. Opening a pipeline board makes 12 requests for candidate data instead of 38.
There is nothing to turn on. Open any pipeline and it loads the new way.
