Under the direction of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Assistant is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day administration and acting as backup for the entire payroll process. The person occupying this position is expected to assist with processing payroll, assist with reporting, and researching payroll inquiries while maintaining the confidentiality of payroll information and complying with all federal and state legal requirements. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, hard-working, detail-oriented, and possess a high level of business ethics.
