Job summary 1

The Enrollment Specialist will be responsible for all activities related to enrollment of providers for government payors and assuring continued enrollment. The primary responsibility will be initiating and monitoring the provider corporate credentialing functions to assure that all practitioners and all clinical billing organizations are enrolled in all required and government payor programs in accordance with established thresholds (Medicare, Medicaid, Bureau of Worker’s Compensation, etc.) and enrollment into other non-delegated healthplans. Enrollment specialists may also be asked to work on special projects required for ongoing business relationships and strategic initiatives. Position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently, while managing multiple priorities to ensure proper claims payment and no loss of revenue.

The Enrollment Specialist serves as one of the key officers of the University Registrar Office responsible for maintaining the university records, degree awarding, student record verification and maintenance of the student database system. As such the position holder will be in direct contact with students and their family, school counselors and advisors, faculty and administration and other individuals or organizations working with the office. This position is responsible for supporting all registration events at both on- and off-campus events. The position holder is responsible for data integrity of the Student Database System. In this role, the Enrollment Specialist will support the coordination, development, and implementation of all student enrollment services. The Enrollment Specialist is responsible for training students and faculty advisors in the processes of registration and record changes such as: course registration, record updates, graduation applications, adding/dropping courses, change of degree program. As such the position holder will be available to support students through these processes in official enrollment & orientation events hosted by the university. Some travel may be required to off-site locations to perform this work, which may include evening and weekend hours.
