Employee Relations Manager Job Description

Job summary 1

The Employee Relations Manager is an integral part of the Company’s People Operations team. This position reports to the Director of People Operations and Business Partner and plays a key role in the design, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of the Company’s employee relations frameworks and deliverables, including handbooks, contracts, procedures, and policies. The Employee Relations Manager will lead organizational initiatives on compliance and employment topics, including key worldwide employee relations tools, policies, and templates. The Employee Relations Manager is expected to remain current on regulations, laws, industry trends, and best practices; and to keep the organization compliant and competitive by advising management and making timely changes in practices and policies. They will share knowledge and develop the professional skills of the People Operations function around employee-focused policies and practices and create a broader understanding of employment requirements and best practices worldwide. The Employee Relations Manager will work as a close partner with Company’s in-house Legal unit and be accountable for building and maintaining relationships with a network of HR service providers and labor law firms around the world to ensure Company’s compliance with local laws and regulations. The Employee Relations Manager will work closely with the worldwide People Operations team, including our People Operations Managers based in our country offices, in all aspects of this work. The Employee Relations Manager must be a self-motivated team player who is committed to our cause and has a track record of successfully designing and implementing organizational change management processes around employee relations, policy, and compliance.
