You will schedule ultrasonic diagnostic procedures and prepare patients for what to expect and explaining procedures

The sonographer will demonstrate and maintain technical skills needed to perform ultrasound procedures on the population(s) served by the department and may include abdominal, OB/GYN, venous Doppler, small parts, pediatrics (where applicable) and invasive exams. Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations (i.e. Meditech and PACS). Ensure proper charges are entered and referring physicians orders are verified.

Assist the radiology nurse or the radiologist in administering medications, performing biopsies and all types of care to the patient.

- Assists Facility System Administrator and Ultrasound Supervisor with PACS clean up.( i.e.: unarchived images, unspecifieds, etc.)

REQUIRED: Competently trained in ultrasound. Responsible for continuing education credits as mandated by the ARDMS for licensure.
- REQUIRED: Graduate of an AMA approved School of Ultrasound Technology.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS AND/OR ARRT) (required within 6 months of hire)
- Current AHA BLS CPR certification (required)
