The chiropractic approach to health care is holistic, stressing the patient's overall well-being. The natural nonpharmacological, non-surgical methods of chiropractic treatment rely on the body's inherent recuperative abilities to promote healing. Chiropractors may also be trained to deliver Complementary and Integrative Health (CIH) therapeutic modalities such as acupuncture.

Performing inpatient and outpatient musculoskeletal and neuromuscular diagnoses and treatment that emphasize function, rehabilitation, and injury prevention as well as patient wellness.
Ordering imaging and other diagnostic studies as appropriate, prompt follow-up of the results, and explaining results to patients.
Performing standard osseous and soft tissue procedures consistent with chiropractic care as commonly contained in the core curriculum of Council on Chiropractic Education - accredited Chiropractic colleges.
