Nurse Manager Job Description

Job summary 1

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and strategic planning of clinical nursing services, and assumes leadership of nursing personnel (RN, LVN, On-Call MA) at all sites. They will clinically supervise Charge Nurses in delivery of clinical care and in their clinical supervision of MAs. The Nurse Manager will lead and implement a staff development program for nursing personnel, and act as liaison with accredited Nursing programs. In collaboration with the Director of Clinical Operations & Quality Improvement, the Nurse Manager will play a vital role in the preparation for on-site clinical and operational audits, as well as the development and monitoring of quality improvement projects and clinical metrics.
