The Facilities Technician position possesses extensive knowledge of work which may require specialized training in the trade or skill associated with their shop/department for new construction, remodeling or maintenance of our facilities. For new construction or remodeling and mechanical, electrical and plumbing projects and repairs, this position inspects sites, ensuring availability of materials for the installation of systems and devices in the trade or job associated with their shop/department.
The Facilities Technician position is responsible for scheduling and performing safety and preventative maintenance inspections, installing and repairing systems and devices. This position is responsible for scheduling and completing maintenance and testing of emergency systems, ensuring work complies with applicable codes, ordinances, statutes and standards and proper documentation for work completed.
