Job summary 1

The Accounting Technician supports and assists with the administration of day-today operations of the Finance Department. The Accounting Technician performs a wide variety of functions to support the activities of the department including filing, data entry, conducting research, bank reconciliations, and general accounting support as needed. The Accounting Technician is responsible for routine financial transactions and performing month end close functions. This position manages tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, contract/grant reporting, financial reporting, accounts receivable, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.
