Reporting to the Director of Engagement and Marketing and working closely with the Multimedia Director and Copy Chief, the Production Associate will uphold and elevate Company’s high production values and work with the rest of the team to ensure that Company is reaching its specialized audience, which includes neuroscientists, clinicians, geneticists and policymakers.

The Production Associate (PA) accurately copyedits and prepares manuscripts for electronic and print production, adhering to strict deadlines, style requirements, and publication schedules. The PA is also the primary post-acceptance contact for authors and guides authors through the publication process by providing exceptional customer service, accommodating queries and special requests, and liaising with editors and the printer as needed. The PA l iaises with authors concerning manuscript questions, figures, and proof correction and provides support to editors, the press office, and the marketing team. The PA manages his or her own deadlines, assigns his or her own work in accordance with pending publication deadlines, and participates in at least one department-wide or Cell Press-wide project or committee. The PA is expected to participate actively in skill- and expertise-building initiatives, such as department learning & development programs and online training courses.
