Distributes and collects selected menus from patients timely and complete. Assists patients with menu selection as needed. Evaluates all food items served to patients for quality and temperature. Follows all sanitation guidelines regarding food handling, including the use of a hairnet and handwashing.
Considers age-related factors when dealing with patients/guests. Prepares meals under the supervision of a dietary manager or cook. Prepares required reports and monitors food to ensure high quality. Delivers dishes and trays at designated times and rooms Cleans food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels, and silverware. Discards leftovers and take out the garbage.
