The Building Inspector is responsible for the Statewide oversight of inspection activities for Building and facilities construction projects. Acts as field representative for facilities management regarding progress and problem resolution. Provides technical assistance in support of implementation, oversight and review of activities. Coordinates with licensed professional architect or engineer, who has full authority for final approval of project work. Reports to the Facilities Project Development Manger. Work requires travel. Work requires contact with other governmental agencies and private entities, including contractors. Employees at this level are virtually self-supervising and assume direct accountability for the work product.
