We are looking to add a new member to Animation team! Working on a small and flexible team, this Animator will be skilled in character and fight animation. This position requires a candidate confident in dynamic posing, rhythmic fight animation, mocap recording and cleanup, as well as comedic timing. Candidates should be prepared to remotely perform a timed animation test to demonstrate their abilities.

An Animator is responsible for combining dialog, animation, and sound to create a dynamic cinematic vision for the film that supports the narrative, and executes it in a manner that inspires the crew. They work closely with the Director to translate their vision (as represented by the storyboards) into a 3D environment. The ideal candidate has a broad working knowledge of visual storytelling, and is able to adhere to production assumptions whilst creating creative solutions to aesthetic problems.

Work with directors, leads, and animators to completely understand and implement the needs of a scene in the layout process.
Utilizing our in-house tools; create a scene with exceptional pace, and character performance.
Take the vision of the Director and block the existing boards to create a 3D version of the story reel with a unique layout of shots.
Work with the Director(s) and CG Supervisor on the iterations of each shot/sequence. Your sequences must be captivating with the focus on final dramatic performance.
- Responsible for being knowledgeable about software used on the production, as it relates to the Animation department.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Visualization, or Computer Animation or equivalent work experience required(Recent graduates considered).
1-3+ years of experience creating cinematic pre-visualizations, rough layout, and/or characters for CG animation. Experience using Maya is also required.
- A strong interest in rough layout and a passion for telling stories.
- Knowledge in scene, shot, camera, and character composition is preferred.
- A good working knowledge of the principles of cinematic staging, blocking, cinematography, and editing are a plus.
