Sales Applications Engineer is a transitional position from an application engineer to be a Sales Manager at some point. The Sales Applications Engineer will report to the Director of Sales. The Sales Applications Engineer’s position includes application engineering duties, along with the sales function.
The Sales Managers will mentor the Sales Applications Engineer to progressively become independent and assist with closing business. This position must possess technical knowledge of power quality market and effective at communicating with both the customer and internal teams of vision, requirements and expectations.
The Sales Applications Engineer would be responsible for Identifying, developing, supporting and maintaining relationships with end-users and integrators for standard and custom optical systems are the critical requirements of the Sales Applications Engineer. In order to be successful, the Sales Applications Engineer will receive support from some of the industry’s brightest individuals covering a breadth of disciplines including optical design, opto-mechanical engineering, optical assemblers, and technicians.

We seek a Sales Applications Engineer. This role solves problems in the field, restoring customer confidence and improving product quality through close interaction with our product engineering specialist and product managers. Provides “Voice of Customer” feedback to sales and product teams.
The Sales Applications Engineer will act as a conduit between the design team and the end users of our products (both external and internal).
This function requires a self motivated, innovative, and dedicated individual who wants to work with and solve our customers’ fastening problems. The Sales Applications Engineer position is responsible for processing quotations in a timely fashion via the Global Quote Management System (GQMS). This position will also be responsible for assisting with product and technical training for our Customers, Reps, and Distributors. He/she must always conduct his/herself in a professional manner and work to perform all job duties with minimal supervision.
This individual is our major source of technical support who serves as the liaison between the customer and their engineering department and will develop and coordinate the strategic plans for new product concepts and all associated product testing. He/she is expected to make recommendations to improve products, processes, and performance.
