Housing Specialist Job Description

Job summary 1

In this Housing Specialist position you will be primarily responsible for overseeing and processing a variety of records and fiscal related data for housing assistance payments for participating residents. You will assist the Housing Manager on overseeing the annual tenant re-examinations to determine eligibility for continued participation in the Section 8 program and ensure all documents, vouchers, inspections, and all other section 8 related processes are followed and stay current. You will work with the various state housing authority agencies for existing tenants and new potential tenants into the program. This position requires a continuous improvement focus and solution-oriented mindset as well as a willingness and ability to take ownership to drive change.
