Responsible for daily production of a Robotic welding cell with a heavy emphasis on Safety, Quality, and throughput.
- Prior welding experience preferred, but not required.

- Makes shop aids such as stops, guides, feeding aids, and blocks to facilitate machine operations.

The Fabricator performs tasks such as assembling cables and removing and replacing defective components, modules, and assemblies that have been identified as being defective.

Duties & Responsibilities 2

Qualified candidates will be subject to a virtual evaluation to determine eligibility.
Reads, understands, and interprets drawings and blueprints and fabricates and repairs electronic components by drawings, standard work documents, technical reference orders, technical manuals, technical orders, etc.
Uses common hand tools such as wire cutters, strippers, crimpers, and heat guns.
Works independently on routine and repetitive assignments such as maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing problems in single-layered printed circuit cards, and other equipment that is of limited design and functional complexity
Applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents including determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes.
- Requires a detailed understanding of the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, selecting tools, and testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.
- Work may be reviewed by the Supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices.
- This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from the supervisor or higher-level technician.

Requirements & Skills 2

Must be willing to work shifts or weekends.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
Minimum one (1) year of experience required.
Must be able to solder and be IPC Certification ready.
Must have basic knowledge of Electronics Theory and applications, must be able to fabricate and overhaul cable assemblies, including but not limited to the assembly of cable wires and connecting cable wires to connector pins, switch boxes, and power distribution boxes.
- Thorough knowledge of technical publications related to aircraft and missile electronics maintenance is mandatory.
- Must be able to follow both written and oral instructions and have knowledge of the scopes and limitations of various categories of electronic maintenance (related maintenance functions) and their applications to the contract unit.
- Must be capable of using and reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and data tables.

The Fabricator manufactures customized products that meet customer specifications and prepare completed orders for shipment.

Duties & Responsibilities 4

Examines specifications of the customer's order using drawings, work orders, or blueprints to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements.
Fabricates workpiece as determined by work order specifications. Retrieves correct materials and performs various fabrication duties.
Examines work pieces visually, by touch, or using tape rules, calipers, or gauges to ensure the product meets desired standards.
Packages for shipping. Installs protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
- Maintains condition of work area (i.e., free of trash, product in the correct location, etc.).
- Follows company safety policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Fabricator sets up and aligns parts per blueprint in preparation for welding and completed fabrication of product.

Perform job duties safely to conform to our safety program.
Reference the blueprint and confer with the Lead person to determine job requirements.
Gather necessary materials and perform layout per specifications.
Set up the welding machine and adjust the settings.
Position, clamp, and/or tack weld as needed before beginning the welding process.
Visually examine welds for adherence to quality standards; re-weld defective joints and remove surplus slag, flux, and spatter using a brush, pad, buffer, and/or grinder
- Operate cutting torch and manual plasma cutter as needed.
- Notify the Lead person or Inspector when the product is ready for inspection.
- Perform ongoing housekeeping duties to keep the work area clear of scrap and debris.

Equipment Used: A cutting torch, manual plasma cutter, brush, pad, buffer, grinder, overhead crane, ratchet straps, rubber hammer, tape measure
Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Welding certification is preferred but not required. Ability to obtain and maintain forklift truck license preferred.
- Knowledge/Skills: Able to read tape measure and blueprints. Must be trained in applicable SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and work instructions, if any.
