Job summary 2

The Estimator’s primary focus is to calculate/estimate the expected cost of construction on a given project. The Estimator also helps with forecasting how long it will take to complete the project. Their duties will be directed towards the development of profitable and competitive bids by identifying all cost information needed for a successful bid proposal.

Duties & Responsibilities 2

• Review all opportunities presented by Sales, Chief Estimator, Builders’ Exchanges, partner contractors and the like, through project plans, specifications and scopes of work to ensure the development of a complete and comprehensive takeoff package. The purpose of an Estimator is to provide an efficient quality/profitable estimate on time with a clear descriptive of scope of work to our external/internal customers. It is expected that each Estimator works with the utmost integrity/honesty.

Duties & Responsibilities 3

• Log in new jobs and place the in order of importance.

• Help to schedule material and Fabrication with committee.

Duties & Responsibilities 6

• Act as an Estimate Team Leader on various projects, thus coordinating the total estimating effort relevant to particular project proposals as assigned.
• Review proposal contract, specifications, drawings, attend pre-proposal meetings, etc., to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Prepare estimate by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work.
• Provide technical support to personnel preparing quantity takeoffs for assigned proposals.
