The Senior Business Analyst is a senior subject matter expert within the Banking Solutions Digital Factory team. This role will lead requirements across multiple business groups and technologies involving a diverse set of stakeholders leading to the successful delivery of the digital transformation initiative at the Bank. The Senior Business Analyst will facilitate and validate solution delivery across several products that include online banking, deposits and savings, loan origination and servicing, CRM, reporting, and analytics. The Senior Business Analyst will act as a critical advisor to the team providing deep functional expertise in the work plan, standards, processes, and change management efforts.

Analyze the functionality and interconnections of business needs, understanding end-to-end process flow, to recommend solutions that create a seamless experience across multiple banking platforms.
Drive user story generation for complex and interconnected capabilities across business and technology teams to support a healthy backlog of capability development within the Company.
Identify potential new and improved technical directions and develop strategic options/ approaches to recommend to management.
Conduct all phases of complex analysis to prioritize making recommendations toward solutions to achieve business goals.
- Works closely with Compliance and IT Governing Groups to ensure standards are met.

- May direct work to vendors and consultants.

Work closely with the Business units and IT partners to create, identify, and evaluate deliverables such as user stories, business process models, user manuals, test plans, and test results, as well as release plans.
Create, evaluate, and present complex technical business cases, “as-is” and “to-be” business processes, “current” and “future” technology integration design recommendations to colleagues, management, business customers, and vendors.

The Senior Business Analyst serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. Possesses expertise in the business unit(s) they support, as well as, an understanding of the IT organization's systems and capabilities. Analyzes business partners' operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions. Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology. Translates high-level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications. Educates the IT organization on the direction of the business. Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation. Possesses an understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise's competitive edge. Define and document functional specifications and software test plans as assigned by the Department. Specifications and test plans should be documented utilizing Microsoft Office tools and the Department's change and configuration management system and templates provided.
Perform validation of documented business requirements against business processes as assigned by the Department to ensure that business requirements accurately represent the needs of business stakeholders. Business stakeholders include but are not limited to, end-users of the Health Management System, Department staff involved in the processes automated by the software, Department staff who are consumers of the data collected within the software, and any external partners exchanging Health Management System related data with the Department.
Perform verification of developed software against business requirements and technical specifications as assigned by the Department.
Provide subject matter expertise (SME) to Business Analysts and development team as directed by the Department. Performing in the role of SME includes providing accurate answers to questions regarding intended software functionality. These answers are based on specific knowledge within a functional area or gathered through written and oral consultation with additional SMEs. SMEs may be end-users of the Health Management System, Department staff involved in the processes automated by the software, or other Department staff who are consumers of the data collected within the software.
Facilitate business requirement-gathering sessions with SMEs as assigned by the Department. SMEs may be end-users, IT technical staff, HMS practice management team members, and HMS clinical team members. Ensure a defined agenda is communicated to participants, ensure a common understanding of terms and definitions, synthesize ideas, track discussions, and provide clear summaries of the discussion and decisions in oral and written form using Microsoft Office tools.
- Identify and document opportunities for improving the efficiency of workflows represented within the software as assigned by the Department. Identification is a result of evaluating the current system design through testing and end-user feedback. Identified opportunities must be documented using Microsoft Office and the Department's change and configuration management system.
- Prepare documentation of application change requests utilizing Microsoft Office tools and the Department's change and configuration management system as assigned by the Department.
- Complete job required training as assigned by the Department. Completion verification may include certificates, sign-in sheets, and verification via the Department's Learning Management System.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or another related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Eight years of documented experience as a business analyst on software development projects.
- Four years of documented experience serving in a senior business analyst capacity directing the efforts of other business analysts.
- Four years documented experience implementing messaging according to HL7 standards including ADT and C-CDA.
- Two years documented experience implementing messaging according to EDI standards.
