Purchasing Manager Job Description

Job summary 1

Seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to own all aspects of material related activity within the business. This includes distribution inventory, component and raw material procurement. He/She will collaborate with other managers to determine demand requirements and translate those demands to system-based forecasts to drive purchases. The Purchasing Manager will also be responsible for the production planning activity and material stores. He/She will ensure process standards are both followed and improved. Ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or alternative equivalent. Experience in both material and production planning is desired. A minimum five years’ experience in a supervisory role is required.
