The Archivist is responsible for the management and preservation of the library’s archival collections, which include a variety of media, including documents, maps, audiovisual materials, born-digital materials, photographs and the University’s historical records.
The Archivist interprets these and other special collections through reference consultations, exhibitions and classroom instruction. The occupant of this position also provides advice and training to campus units concerning the organization and retention of records to preserve the intellectual heritage of the university.
