Characteristic duties include collection and evaluation of field and laboratory biological and aquatic specimens and/or data to make management and program decisions. A Marine Biologist may conduct limited technical and scientific studies and interpret and evaluate data collected. Work is performed under the general supervision of a higher-level biologist, scientist or an administrative or technical supervisor.
