The Contract Specialist provides expertise in the procurement of professional, engineering, and/or architectural consulting services as well as goods and services contracts. In addition, the role involves managing and mitigating the risks inherent in the design, construction, and other professional services to protect the City from being subject to litigation, criticism, or unanticipated costs due to unclear, ambiguous, and non-compliant contract documents. We are looking for a Contract Specialist that has experience in negotiating costs and terms and conditions.
This position will work collaboratively with Procurement and Contracting staff, internal departments, and external procurement stakeholders in all matters relating to the procurement of materials and supplies, procurement of hardware and software, and procurement of consulting services.
