We are looking to add an Athletic Trainer to our team. Under the direct supervision, the Athletic Trainer is responsible for serving as a community outreach athletic trainer providing injury evaluation and treatment to area athletes at events. The Athletic Trainer is responsible for serving as a clinical and educational resource for staff, area coaches, athletic directors and physicians while providing quality care to patients of all ages through the proper utilization of assessment, planning, implementation and instruction.

Under direction, the employee advises and coordinates programs of preventative care, immediate first-aid, and therapeutic treatment for the student athletes. This includes referrals to outside providers in emergencies and other injury or illness situations as appropriate. Public contact is extensive and primarily involves students, parents, and staff for the purpose of exchanging information related to prevention, care, and therapeutic treatment of sports-related injuries. A high degree of independent judgment and creativity are required to analyze and interpret data for the resolution of frequent minor and occasional major problems that arise. The Athletic Trainer can lead the work of other specified staff and student assistants as assigned.

Recognizes, manages and rehabilitates injuries to professional, amateur and recreational athletes. Provides techniques for prevention of injuries. Works independently, but under the direction of Senior Staff, Sports Medicine Supervisor, and Team physicians to manage the daily operations within a school districts' athletic medicine program. Also develops exercise programs, performs data entry/recordkeeping, assists with cleaning the facility, and monitoring supplies for the athletic program.
