EHS Plant Leader, Manufacturing Compliance & Risk Mitigation

  • Conyers, GA
  • 83,000 - 139,000 USD Annually

Shape a safer day—every day

As the EHS Plant Leader, you will report directly to the Plant Manager and set the tone for safety, environmental stewardship, and health standards across the facility. Your work anchors a proactive program aligned with Pactiv Evergreen’s (PTVE) values and complies with local, state, and federal regulations.

A day in the life

Morning: You kick off by walking the floor, checking on critical controls, and aligning teams around the EHS Pillar of the Pactiv Evergreen Production System (PEPs). You review open actions from internal and third-party regulatory audits and confirm owners and due dates.

Midday: You facilitate an incident review, ensuring timely reporting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions. You validate OSHA- and EPA-required written programs are current, and you lead or schedule required training for teams and plant leadership.

Afternoon: You conduct water sampling and inspect outfalls to protect compliance. You collaborate with Corporate EHS and provide clear, prioritized direction to engineering teams and contractors on upcoming EHS projects.

End of day: You analyze leading and lagging indicators to pinpoint the next opportunity for improvement—driving risk reduction, reinforcing our Zero Harm culture, and sustaining best practices across the PTVE system.
