Production Supervisor

**Position Summary: **

The Production Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and direction to shift employees while ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-quality production environment. This role oversees daily production and warehouse operations, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

**Shift/Schedule: **Night Shift Only, 6 pm-6 am, 2x2x3 schedule.

Reporting Relationship:

The Production Supervisor will report to the Unit Manager.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities: **

  • Maintain a safe working environment by supporting and enforcing all safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide direction, supervision, and support to all shift employees, including production and warehouse personnel.
  • Direct and coordinate all production activities during the assigned shift to maximize productivity and minimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Develop and coach employees to enhance skills, performance, and overall output.
  • Maintain production and quality performance at or above established standards.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor to address equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and tooling needs.
  • Prepare and review daily production and personnel reports.
  • Ensure all shift documentation is complete, accurate, and processed daily.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and housekeeping standards.
  • Partner with the Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved.
  • Communicate anticipated labor needs to HR to ensure adequate staffing levels; participate in interviewing and selection for open positions.
  • Build trust with employees and communicate grievances or workplace concerns to HR as appropriate.
  • Assist in company investigations related to workplace injuries, PIT violations, and other policy matters.
  • Initiate and support Lean manufacturing implementation and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support and enhance quality initiatives aligned with plant goals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

**Qualifications: **

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact at all organizational levels.
