Structural MIG/Stick Fabrication Specialist

Location: Bardstown, KY

A day in the shop

You clock in, review the day’s build list, and prep your welding station. Blueprints in hand, you mark out your pieces with a tape measure, verify tolerances, and stage components. You dial in the machine, run clean MIG and Stick beads, and bring parts together with consistent, accurate welds. Before parts move on, you inspect every detail to be sure they meet spec. Throughout the day, you keep your area organized, follow safety procedures, and work with teammates to keep production on schedule.

What you’ll do

• Set up and operate welding equipment for production runs.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine dimensions and weld symbols.
• Measure precisely using a tape measure and related tools to hold tight tolerances.
• Perform MIG and Stick welding to fabricate metal components.
• Inspect finished work for quality and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe workstation and adhere to all safety protocols.
• Collaborate with peers to hit production targets and deadlines.

What makes you successful

• Proven background as a Welder/Fabricator with hands-on MIG and Stick experience.
• Fluent in reading blueprints/technical drawings.
• Comfortable and accurate with tape measure reading and other measuring tools.
• Knowledgeable about welding setups in a production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certifications are a plus.
