Sheet Metal Press Brake Setup & Forming Specialist

If you enjoy turning engineered drawings into exact parts, setting up tooling like a pro, and dialing in programs until the cut is perfect, this role is for you. You’ll run Amada press brake and laser equipment, form simple bends with accuracy, and keep production flowing—including stepping onto the drill press when needed.

Your core impact

• Identify correct materials, programs, and dies from work orders for both the laser and brake press.
• Set up tooling and load preprogrammed instructions; adjust on the fly for best results.
• Diagnose cutting problems, tooling wear, and equipment alarms.
• Improve processes to hit quality targets and reduce cycle times.
• Deburr parts with manual and automatic equipment to spec.
• Shake out laser-cut parts and route them to the next operation.
• Use a forklift and overhead crane to sort and store raw material safely.
• Coordinate daily with programmers; maintain a safe, clean, 5S work area.
• Operate a drill press as required by production demands.

What you bring

• Strong teamwork and communication; mechanical aptitude; confident blueprint reading.
• Fluent in fractions/decimals; skilled with calipers, tape measures, micrometers, and more.
• Comfort working through ambiguous situations and shifting priorities.
• Detail-driven approach to quality.

Must-haves

• 1+ years on comparable equipment preferred.
• Ability to safely lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Internal candidates: two (2) or fewer “Inconsistent” ratings on the most recent performance review to proceed; three (3)+ “Inconsistent” ratings disqualify.
• Any “Unsatisfactory” rating on the most recent review is disqualifying.
• No more than one (1) written warning in the last 12 months.
• Final attendance warnings are disqualifying.
