Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist — Milwaukee, WI
Are you the person people call when a sensor trips or a machine grinds to a halt? Aegis is recruiting on behalf of a Milwaukee, WI manufacturer for a maintenance expert who can keep complex equipment online.
What you’ll do
- Repair and service production machinery spanning mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical domains.
- Troubleshoot electromechanical assemblies—especially switches and sensors—to restore uptime.
- Interpret and apply wiring diagrams to diagnose breakdowns.
- Read blueprints and follow detailed work instructions; act promptly on internal managerial communications.
- Own preventive maintenance planning and execution in a CMMS.
- Track work, parts, and results with Microsoft Excel/Word and concise email documentation.
What you bring
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience in a maintenance position.
- Manufacturing exposure; heavier or similar industry experience is ideal.
- Hands-on equipment repair background.
- Experience working with electromechanical systems (switches, sensors).
- Ability to read and use wiring diagrams during equipment issues.
- Comfort with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric systems.
- Capability to read and comprehend blueprints, complex instructions, and internal communications.
- Preventive maintenance and maintenance planning experience using a CMMS.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word (or equivalent).
- Strong email skills to document issues and resolutions.
Bonus points
- Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance.
- PLC/automation experience or exposure.
- Coursework toward Journeyman maintenance mechanic technology.
