CNC Setup and Production Machinist

Role overview

Join a proven, high-output manufacturer in Hanover Park. In this full-time, direct-hire role, you’ll set up and run CNC equipment (mills and/or lathes), uphold quality standards, and keep production moving safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and/or operate CNC mills and lathes
• Verify first-piece and in-process quality; use calipers, micrometers, and other gauges
• Perform basic troubleshooting, tool offsets, and minor program or parameter adjustments as needed
• Monitor part runs for consistency, accuracy, and efficiency
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation
• Follow all safety and quality procedures

Qualifications

• Experience operating or setting up CNC machines
• Proficient blueprint reading and use of inspection tools
• Detail-oriented with a strong quality mindset
• Dependable and able to work a steady 2nd shift
• Production machining experience preferred

Compensation, schedule, and employment

• Compensation: $20–$35/hour
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM
• Status: Full-Time, Direct Hire
