You move from a scheduled preventive maintenance on a tractor to a trailer with a tricky electrical fault, then wrap up with a DOT inspection—each task documented precisely so the team and our clients know exactly what was done.

What you’ll tackle in a typical day

• Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and connected systems to keep equipment running at peak performance.
• Use advanced diagnostic software and testing procedures to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on tractors and trailers.
• Complete DOT inspections in alignment with FMCSA regulations.
• Carry out preventive maintenance across our fleet of trucks and trailers.
• Maintain meticulous service records and repair documentation.
• Order parts for the shop and ensure the right components are on hand.
• Partner with the Shop Service Manager on leadership activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with teammates to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.
• Communicate clearly with customers about findings, repair options, and recommendations.
• Stay current with evolving diesel technologies and industry best practices.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in diesel mechanics preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Technician or in a closely related role.
• Deep understanding of diesel engine components, systems, and related technologies.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, software, and standard testing equipment.
• Strong problem-solving ability and a sharp attention to detail.
• Comfort working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
