Rack Electric is expanding our generator service division and looking for a technician with a mechanical core and electrical savvy. If terms like ATS, load shedding, and surge protection are familiar—or you’re eager to learn—you’ll fit right in.
You will
- Complete bi-annual preventive maintenance for residential and commercial generators.
- Install and service monitoring hardware and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair generator performance issues.
- Work 100% paperless in our CRM for scheduling, documentation, and customer updates.
- Rotate one week at a time for emergency on-call coverage.
You are
- Clean-cut, courteous, and detail-oriented; you represent the brand well.
- Mechanically inclined with technical aptitude; electrical background is a plus.
- Comfortable using basic electrical/plumbing tools and test equipment.
- Physically capable: lift up to 70 lbs occasionally; bend/stoop/squat/kneel for extended periods.
- Resilient in the elements—heat, wind, and rain don’t slow you down.
- Methodical and procedure-driven; eager to be cross-trained across divisions.
Work schedule and compensation
- Full-time; pay commensurate with experience.
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., with overtime available.
- On-call rotation required; after-hours and weekends required during storms/hurricane season.
- In-person role.
