Automotive Parts Route Driver (Non-CDL)

A day in the life

Start your morning at 5:00 a.m., check your route, and perform thorough pre-trip inspections. You’ll roll out in a box truck under 26,001 pounds to complete 10–20 stops, bringing tires, undercar parts, and lubricants to independent retailers, repair shops, and dealerships. With a company-provided handheld, you’ll confirm each delivery, collect payments when required, and keep accurate logs for fuel and driving activity. You’ll drive in all weather, communicate with customers and dispatch, and wrap up with a post-trip inspection—typically between 4:00 p.m. and day’s end when the last delivery is complete. Schedules may change with business needs and can include overtime; plan on 8–12 hours per day.

What you’ll do

  • Operate a non-CDL box truck (under 26,001 lbs) safely and punctually on assigned routes
  • Complete and maintain delivery documentation, driver’s logs, and fuel purchase records per company policy and law
  • Deliver on time in varied weather conditions while providing excellent customer service
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections daily
  • Lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 80 lbs on occasion; use team lifts or mechanical aids for commercial tires
  • Exert up to 40 lbs of pushing force when working with barrels or industrial/agricultural tires
  • Assist with loading/unloading and, as needed, operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers (training provided)
  • Use a handheld device to confirm deliveries and route completion
  • Collect payments at delivery when required

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (or until all deliveries are completed). Schedules may change based on business needs and can require overtime.

What you’ll bring

  • 21+ years of age (mandatory company policy)
  • At least 1 year of professional experience operating a cube van, box truck, or semi and the ability to pass a company road test administered by a qualified assessor
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record under company policy
  • Valid DOT Medical Card per DOT/FMCSA guidelines
  • Ability to train on and safely operate powered industrial equipment (forklifts and high-reach lifts)
  • Strength to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and up to 80 lbs occasionally; ability to push up to 40 lbs with barrels and industrial/ag tires
  • Clear communication skills and customer-first mindset
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
