Venture Development Manager (m/f/d)

About the Role

A well-funded seed-stage B2B SaaS company building an AI-first back-office platform for blue-collar SMEs in Germany's energy transition sector is looking for a Venture Development Manager. You will scale a partnership model with Meister-led craft businesses — helping trades entrepreneurs grow revenue through commercial strategy, marketing experiments, and hands-on activation. This is a high-ownership, cross-functional role sitting at the intersection of operations, product, and growth.

What You'll Do

  • Support partner craft businesses to grow their top line through commercial and operational interventions.
  • Onboard and coach new Meister partners through their first months on the platform.
  • Operate and continuously improve key business processes including offers, invoicing, documentation, and workforce planning.
  • Analyze partner performance and design targeted interventions to improve conversion, efficiency, and growth.
  • Build and automate scalable workflows using tools like Attio, Make, and an AI-powered operations stack.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Growth teams to improve the partner experience.
  • Translate field insights into product requirements and data models that inform the company's AI roadmap.
  • Act as a strategic sparring partner to founders and contribute to shaping the operating playbook.

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 3–5 years of experience in tech, operations, consulting, or venture capital — ideally with exposure to SaaS, field operations, or vertical software.
  • Demonstrated ability to onboard and coach partners/clients and optimise commercial and administrative processes.
  • Strong analytical skills: able to track KPIs, interpret partner performance data, and design evidence-based interventions.
  • Proficiency with CRM and operational tools such as Attio, Notion, HubSpot, or Pipedrive, and automation platforms (Make, Zapier, or n8n).
  • Fluent in German and English (verbal and written) — essential for working directly with Meister and business owners.
  • Highly structured, systems-thinking mindset with strong documentation habits.
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter who takes ownership of partner outcomes.
  • Authorised to work in Germany (no visa sponsorship available).

Nice to Have

  • Field experience or technical understanding of Elektro, PV (photovoltaics), or SHK (Sanitär, Heizung, Klima) sectors.

Location & Work Arrangement

  • Location: Berlin preferred — hybrid work setup.
  • Occasional field travel across Germany required.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must be authorised to work in Germany.
