Supply Chain Procurement Planner

Your mission

  1. Own SAP purchasing: enter and manage direct/indirect POs; check indirect requests against spend limits and budgets.
  2. Fuel S&OP: provide monthly supply chain inputs and call out component risks in daily production meetings.
  3. Translate S&OP into material plans at both macro and micro levels.
  4. Source competitively: solicit quotes, compare bids, and negotiate price and delivery for new and current needs.
  5. Partner with Scheduling, Supervision, Shipping, and Quality to keep raw material velocity high and prevent disruptions.
  6. Keep data clean and payments timely: standardize purchasing inputs and drive on-time invoice processing.
  7. Deliver year-over-year savings and lower inventory via supplier programs that support Corporate Working Capital reduction.
  8. Build a strategic supplier base to lift performance across the supply chain.
  9. Enable the team: train employees on procurement procedures and work instructions.
  10. Protect accuracy: maintain raw and WIP inventory counts at subcontractors and manage consigned stock on-site.
  11. Set standard costs for all direct materials and continuously identify new savings opportunities.

Do you have the background?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical discipline.
  • 2–5 years as a buyer.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with ERP platforms; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Willing to travel – up to 50%.

Bonus points

  • Manufacturing purchasing experience.
  • MRP buyer experience.
  • CPM certification.
  • LEAN manufacturing exposure.
  • Familiarity with metals markets and alloys.

Physical requirements

Must have full range of body motion. Certain operations require standing, walking, bending, squatting, full arm extension, and overhead reaching. Manual lifting, not exceeding ten (10) pounds may be required. Able to visit various manufacturing environments and wear appropriate PPE for the environment. This includes but is not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety toe shoes/boots.

Compensation & logistics

  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Salary range: $59,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
  • Schedule: Day shift; Monday–Friday; Weekends as needed
  • Location: In person, Camp Hill, PA 17011
  • Commute: Camp Hill, PA 17011 (Preferred)
  • Relocation: Relocate before starting work (Required)
  • Experience: Microsoft Office — 1 year (Preferred)
