Aerospace CNC Programming Lead

A day in this role
You start your day reviewing engineering models, prints, and GD&T to plan toolpaths for complex aerospace parts. You translate design intent into efficient, accurate CNC programs for multi-axis machines, select tooling and workholding, and fine-tune setups for optimal results. Throughout the day, you partner with machinists, engineers, and quality to troubleshoot issues on the floor, validate processes, and continuously refine cycle times, tooling strategies, and machining approaches.
What you’ll do
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for precision aerospace components
- Interpret drawings, 3D models, and GD&T to generate accurate, reliable code
- Collaborate with engineering and production to elevate quality and throughput
- Support process development, tooling selection, and setup optimization
- Troubleshoot programming and machining challenges directly on the shop floor
- Lead continuous improvement around cycle time, tooling, and machining strategies
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years of CNC programming experience in a precision machining environment
- Hands-on experience with multi-axis CNC programming
- Fluency reading complex blueprints and GD&T
- Background in aerospace machining or other tight-tolerance work (preferred)
- Proven collaboration with machinists, engineers, and quality teams
