Your shift begins on the production floor, where you ready the thermoforming and roll‑forming lines for a new run. You reference work orders, diagrams, and manufacturer manuals to set machine parameters. As production starts, you monitor throughput and product quality, making on‑the‑fly adjustments so equipment runs safely, accurately, and efficiently.
When a line drifts out of spec, you troubleshoot. Sometimes it’s a simple tweak; other times you assist with equipment repairs or modifications under supervision. You perform routine preventive maintenance, collaborate with teammates in the Forming HP area, and step in to help wherever you’re needed. Throughout the shift, you log basic data in the system, communicate updates to your supervisor, and keep an eye on safety and housekeeping.
This role involves frequent standing and moving around the facility; occasional sitting; climbing stairs; bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; handling tools and controls; grasping, pushing, pulling, reaching (including above shoulder height). Visual needs include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to refocus.
Production needs change. You may work more or fewer hours than a standard schedule, including scheduled weekend or partial‑weekend shifts, and may be called in outside of regular hours.
