What this role is about

Help us elevate quality, speed, and reliability in our injection molding operations. You will be the technical driver behind process optimization, cost reduction, and innovation, partnering closely with design, quality, and production teams to make a measurable impact.

A day in the life

  • Start by reviewing production metrics and scrap trends, then walk the floor to assess mold performance and cycle consistency.
  • Lead structured problem-solving on priority issues, applying root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions that stick.
  • Collaborate with design engineering to ensure parts are fully manufacturable and meet stringent quality standards.
  • Run trials, DOEs, and validation builds to dial in process windows and material settings.
  • Guide junior engineers and technicians, sharing best practices and building capability across shifts.
  • Plan and execute upgrades—new tooling, auxiliary equipment, and advancing molding technologies.
  • Keep a pulse on industry advancements and translate the best ideas into our factory.

What you’ll own

  • Designing, developing, and optimizing injection molding processes to improve efficiency and cost.
  • Root cause analysis with corrective and preventive actions for manufacturing issues.
  • Cross-functional collaboration to ensure manufacturable product designs that meet quality targets.
  • Project leadership on process improvements, equipment upgrades, and technology implementations.
  • Training and mentoring of junior engineers and production staff.
  • Monitoring key production metrics and implementing strategies to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Continuous learning and adoption of new injection molding technologies.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with a strong focus on injection molding.
  • Deep knowledge of molding processes, thermoplastic materials, tooling, and press/auxiliary equipment.
  • Proficiency in CAD and common engineering analysis tools.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Clear communicator and effective collaborator in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma is a plus.
