Composites Fabrication Technician (Aerospace & Defense)

Pay: $18–$22/hr depending on experience

It’s 2:30pm in Rock Hill, SC and your second shift kicks off. You review clear work instructions, pull your calipers and micrometers from your toolbox, and get hands-on with advanced resin systems. By the end of the evening, you’ve finished precision bonding on a lightweight structure, verified tight tolerances, and checked your own work before passing it forward. That’s a typical night on the Composite Resources team within Re:Build Manufacturing.

Your impact, shift by shift

  • Work with epoxy, polyester, vinyl ester, silicones, and other resin systems, understanding their application and handling.
  • Hand-finish patterns and molds, achieving smooth, production-ready surfaces.
  • Use hand tools for cutting, grinding, fitting, and assembly with care and consistency.
  • Assemble structures: set up, bond, and install fasteners with precision.
  • Conduct self-inspections to ensure quality at every step.

What you bring

  • 1–3 years in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with composite materials (Carbon Fiber, Kevlar, Fiberglass) is a plus.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Confidence reading SOPs/work instructions and offering improvement ideas.
  • Measurement skills with calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and indicators.
  • Hands-on fabrication ability and comfort with common shop tools.
  • Experience with adhesive bonding and structural assembly, including fasteners.
  • Meticulous attention to detail working to tight tolerances.

Schedule

We are actively hiring for second shift. Preference given to candidates available Monday–Thursday, 2:30pm–1:30am.
