Rotating Equipment Mechanic (TIG Certified)

Ready to keep a plant running at full speed?

At Process Equipment and Controls (PEC), we’re looking for a TIG-capable Millwright to support a manufacturing facility in Harwell, GA. This is an on-site, facility-based position with minimal travel where you’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with plant operations and PEC’s maintenance team.

What you’ll do

• Own TIG welding tasks (MIG and stick are a plus).
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
• Service pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, valves, bearings, motors, and more.
• Perform precision alignment, leveling, and installations for rotating assets.
• Fabricate/modify components, brackets, and fixtures.
• Follow structured, step-by-step troubleshooting to get to the root cause fast.
• Read and apply blueprints, mechanical diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Collaborate with operators and PEC leadership to keep work safe and efficient.
• Consistently use PPE and uphold high safety standards.
• Work independently or as part of a strong maintenance crew.

What you’ll bring

• 2–3 years of Millwright or Industrial Maintenance experience.
• Demonstrated TIG welding proficiency on stainless and carbon steel.
• Hands-on mechanical know-how in assembly and repair practices.
• Comfortable with blueprints and mechanical schematics.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to work overtime as production needs arise.

Requirements

• Must maintain compliance with 100% Drug-Free Workplace requirements.

Schedule

• 8-hour or 10-hour shifts depending on plant needs
• Some overtime required
