By mentoring a junior tech and documenting your fixes, you leave the floor more reliable than you found it. CAM serves as the primary unit within our Aerospace business, supplying fasteners, fittings, and engineered components to aerospace, defense, and industrial customers. Our footprint includes nine U.S. subsidiaries spanning three segments.
How You’ll Contribute
- Own preventive maintenance across motors, conveyors, CNC equipment, and control systems.
- Apply disciplined troubleshooting to determine root causes through observation and analysis.
- Program, configure, and dial-in CNC controllers and HMIs for optimal performance.
- Repair high/low-voltage electrical (480/220/120V), hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Document PMs, equipment specs, and repair actions thoroughly.
- Partner with engineering/production to implement modifications and upgrades.
- Coach junior maintenance technicians to elevate team capability.
- Manage spare parts and tools for rapid, effective repairs.
- Promote and practice strict safety standards; engage in required training.
- Execute tasks per written specs, procedures, and drawings.
What You’ll Need
- 5+ years of CNC-focused maintenance experience.
- G-code/M-code fluency; experience with Fanuc, Siemens, and Haas controls.
- Strong troubleshooting across electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to interpret complex diagrams, manuals, and technical specs.
- Familiarity with PLC/electrical analysis tools and methods.
- Outstanding problem-solving, analytical thinking, and mechanical dexterity.
- Safety commitment and continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team.
Bonus Qualifications
- CNC maintenance or programming certification.
- Experience with predictive maintenance tools/approaches.
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and data-led maintenance.
- Background in documenting maintenance processes and equipment.
- Comfort reading detailed instructions/specifications.
- TIG/MIG welding exposure is beneficial.
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum five years of relevant industrial manufacturing experience preferred.
