Fulfillment Center QA/QC Team Lead

Be the reason every caster ships with confidence

If you believe quality isn’t a department but a promise, this role is your platform. At Colson, we treat quality as foundational to everyone’s work—and you’ll be the person who brings that belief to life on our Fulfillment Center floor. You’ll guide a small, capable team, connect daily with our Director of Quality, USA, and make sure production quality validation and product support are more than checkboxes—they’re commitments to our customers.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Own day-to-day QA/QC operations: streamline receiving inspection, model best practices, and ensure SIP/SOP adherence.
  • Grow people and process: train your team, build concession paths that safeguard customer service, and standardize what great looks like.
  • Be the go-to voice for DC operations quality concerns and resolutions.
  • Develop and maintain core quality files: PPAP, FMEA, PFMEA.
  • Partner with the Management Representative on QMS topics and support facility audits.
  • Lead the annual DC Risk, Opportunity, and Continuous Improvement Matrix—then drive it into action.
  • Advance our QMS: help maintain SOPs; produce metrics and trends that point the way to measurable performance gains and standards compliance.
  • Monitor end-to-end system health: complaints and investigations; nonconformances; CAPA (8D); deviations; batch record review and product release; calibration/maintenance; document control and retention.
  • Contribute as an internal auditor and help maintain audit readiness.
  • Roll up your sleeves on product and process troubleshooting—balancing compliance, practicality, and speed.
  • Implement Colson Group quality procedures within the DC and author local procedures where gaps exist.
  • Untangle cross-functional issues and keep the operation moving.
  • Support two ISO Management Reviews each year.

Who you are

  • A leader who communicates clearly—one-on-one and with groups.
  • Organized, calm under pressure, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks.
  • Grounded in quality within manufacturing or DC environments (2+ years).
  • Educated with a High School Diploma (required); Associate or Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office and experienced with ERP systems (Epicor is a plus).
  • Confident writing procedures and reports (PPAPs, Corrective Action Reports, and more).
  • Skilled in 5 Why root cause analysis and familiar with AS9100 Quality Systems.
  • Motivated to lead change and deliver measurable improvements.
