Nuclear NDE Project Manager — Reactor & Balance-of-Plant

  • Madison, PA
  • 69,200 - 86,500 USD Annually

Step into a day overseeing critical nuclear inspections

By mid-morning you’ve reviewed Earned Value metrics, aligned your team of 10–30 specialists, and are coordinating automated/robotic inspections of a reactor vessel head. In the afternoon, you shift to manual Balance-of-Plant (BOP) examinations—pressurizer and steam generator girth welds, Class 1/2/3 piping, snubbers, and containment liner and concrete—tracking scope, cost, and schedule to the baselines you authored. You close the day by updating stakeholders and logging lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Where you’ll sit in the organization

You will report to the Manager of Reactor & BOP Inspection Operations and be based out of our Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA. This is a mobile role with on-site presence expected 2–3 days per week.

What you will lead

  • Own project management processes for medium-complexity efforts or defined portions of highly complex programs; supervise teams averaging 10–30, including project controls and sub-project managers.
  • Serve as Technical Inputs Lead on medium-complexity proposal efforts; act as deputy project manager on highly complex projects with guidance from a Program Manager or higher.

    • Promote teamwork and transparent communication; publish metrics and process maps to keep customers and stakeholders informed.
    • Build and maintain project databases, systems, and procedures to handle correspondence and documentation efficiently.
  • Closing: Archive in financial, scheduling, document, and resource tools; complete final quality assessments; capture lessons learned, improvement ideas, and risk-avoidance guidance.

Relationships that fuel success

  • Act as the single face to customers, architect engineers, constructors, and internal business areas for your project.
