L&W Recruiting, on behalf of a well‑established Mid‑Atlantic law firm, seeks an Insurance Defense Attorney to join its Litigation Defense Practice in Lancaster, PA. This opportunity is appropriate for an attorney who can independently manage a caseload while contributing to a collaborative, growth‑oriented team with a clear path to partnership.

Location: Lancaster, PA

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a full docket of insurance defense matters from intake through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other court filings.
• Conduct and defend depositions; handle hearings and other court appearances.
• Develop litigation strategy and participate in case planning and settlement discussions.
• Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, co‑counsel, and court personnel.
• Maintain organized case files and meet calendaring and procedural deadlines.
• Provide mentorship and collaborate with colleagues to support firm objectives and client service.

Required Qualifications:

• 2–6+ years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania.
• Demonstrated litigation skills, including motion practice, depositions, and courtroom experience.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload independently while working effectively in a team‑focused environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and client‑management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with complex coverage issues, litigation management, or trial practice within insurance defense.
• Demonstrated interest in professional development and progression toward partnership.
• Familiarity with e‑filing systems and case/document management platforms.
