Your impact

  • Own electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on PLC-controlled printing and packaging lines using a laptop and diagnostic tools.
  • Close gaps in reliability through preventive maintenance on equipment and facility electrical circuits.
  • Perform mechanical repairs to return assets to service quickly and safely.
  • Install, connect, and route power and control wiring between machines and equipment to spec.
  • Terminate conductors on breakers, transformers, and components at both low and high voltage.
  • Identify and replace faulty wiring, motors, transformers, and lighting components.
  • Use power construction tools, precision measuring devices, power tools, and test equipment confidently.
  • Inspect systems for hazards, defects, and code compliance; document findings and corrections.
  • Interpret blueprints—or create field sketches—to determine compliant wiring/equipment locations.
  • Install conduit systems and pull conductors cleanly and to code.
  • Systematically locate root causes of failures with test equipment and hand tools; implement corrective actions.
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds, or rooftops when needed to install, maintain, or repair equipment and wiring.
  • Escalate unsafe conditions and recommend shutdown or mitigation when continued operation is hazardous.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • High school diploma/GED; Associate’s in Maintenance or Industrial Technology preferred.
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Hands-on capability in electrical and mechanical work; familiarity with welding, tool-and-die, and lift trucks; able to provide or promptly acquire required tools.
  • Solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Blueprint/schematic literacy across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Electrical expertise: AC/DC motors and drives, 480V three-phase, transformers, control power, relays.
  • Controls proficiency: industrial controls, ladder logic, PLC programming; C programming is a plus.
  • Capable of standing for 8 hours; able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Consistent PPE use and commitment to all safety rules and procedures.
  • Comfort working independently and in a team; strong communication with all levels; leadership mindset.
  • Understands and adheres to Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements.
