Be the backbone of a state-of-the-art plant
Picture a shift at our new corrugated packaging facility in Atglen, Pennsylvania. You start by walking the line, listening for offbeat vibrations, scanning gauges, and confirming steam pressure at the boiler. A component needs repositioning, a gearbox needs lubrication, and a sensor shows drift—you diagnose, measure, and correct. A sudden breakdown calls; you move from preventive to corrective maintenance, reference the technical manual, phone a vendor for a spec, and get the machine back online safely and quickly.
What you’ll do
- Champion safety rules and best practices, every task, every time.
- Execute preventive maintenance: lubricate, measure wear and positions, reposition components, and monitor operations, vibration, and noise levels.
- Respond to emergency and breakdown calls to keep production on track.
- Use equipment manuals and technical literature to guide repairs and installations.
- Partner with vendors and subcontractors to achieve reliable outcomes.
- Accurately use measurement and test instruments for precise troubleshooting.
- Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam system repairs and new installs.
- Operate the boiler safely and maintain adequate operating steam pressure.
- Document maintenance activities thoroughly and keep records current.
- Troubleshoot, solve problems methodically, and keep supervision informed of issues or unusual conditions.
- Collaborate as a strong team player and take on other duties as assigned.
What you bring
- Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
- Skilled use of calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring devices.
- Broad-based electrical, mechanical, and machine shop experience.
- Curiosity to learn, follow instructions, and ask the right questions.
- Team-first mindset with strong communication.
Schedule
Openings available on 2nd and 3rd shifts; some weekends are required.
