Job Title: Grinder I (Cylindrical / Centerless)

We are seeking a Grinder I to support precision grinding operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for setting up and operating cylindrical and centerless grinding machines to produce high-precision components that meet customer specifications. The ideal candidate has experience reading blueprints, using precision measuring instruments, and maintaining tight tolerances in a production setting.
Set up and operate cylindrical and centerless grinding machines to machine precision parts
Grind metal components to customer specifications and required tolerances
Read and interpret blueprints, technical sheets, and purchase orders to verify machining requirements
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and height gauges
Record inspection results and production data in the Statistical Process Control (SPC) system
Adjust machine settings and tooling as needed to maintain quality and performance standards
Follow daily production schedules and workflow priorities to meet customer demands
Communicate any quality concerns, production issues, or deviations to the department manager
Assist with monitoring equipment condition and basic machine maintenance
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety procedures
Perform other duties as assigned to support production
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical sheets, and machining specifications
Experience using precision inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
Knowledge of cylindrical or centerless grinding machines (Cincinnati Centerless or Studer grinders a plus)
Basic shop math skills and strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred
