Progressive Die Toolmaker & Jig/Fixture Specialist

About the role

At Alinabal, your day begins in a well-equipped toolroom and on the manufacturing floor, moving between lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC stations. You’ll turn complex blueprints into precise tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures that keep production running efficiently and safely. When a line pauses, you’re the go-to expert—diagnosing issues, repairing or adjusting tooling, and getting teams back to work fast.

What you'll do in a typical day

  • Translate engineering drawings and work orders into accurate tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Set up and operate manual and CNC equipment (lathes, vertical mills, manual/jig grinders) to machine precision components.
  • Inspect, test, and qualify tooling to meet safety, precision, and quality standards; perform fine adjustments as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair tooling and related manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Complete routine maintenance and keep meticulous records of specifications, builds, repairs, and PM activities.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and production to resolve tooling challenges and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a clean, organized toolroom and adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE.

What you bring

  • Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expert blueprint/technical drawing interpretation; strong hand metrology and precision measurement skills.
  • Hands-on proficiency with machining equipment, including CNC machines, lathes, mills, and grinders.
  • Strong troubleshooting instincts and problem-solving ability.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
  • Team-first mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards and PPE.
  • Experience in transfer tooling, miniature retainer bearings.

Environment, schedule, and travel

  • Work Environment: Manufacturing floor with exposure to industrial equipment, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Physical Demands: Role may require occasional walking, standing, and warehouse site visits.
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for extended hours as needed.
  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required for supplier visits, conferences, and inter-facility coordination.
