Foundry Materials and Production Control Supervisor

Ready to lead the flow?

Picture this: the day begins with you aligning SFM and ERP so nothing is out of place. You refresh the production schedule so every component tied to each MO is visible to the floor. Departments hand off materials without friction. WIP stays within control limits. Reports go out and drive action. That’s the cadence you’ll create.

How you’ll make it happen

  1. Guarantee smooth material transfers between manufacturing departments.
  2. Publish the essentials daily: work progress, transaction activity, cycle counts, and open MO reports.
  3. Keep WIP controlled to maintain throughput and clarity.
  4. Reconcile differences between Shop Floor Manager (SFM) and ERP—transactions, quantities, locations.
  5. Identify floor stock; design replenishment and set up milk runs; partner with Purchasing on reviews and quantities.
  6. Apply continuous improvement using safety stock and Kanban methodologies.
  7. Maintain an up-to-date production schedule to ensure MO component visibility.
  8. Jump on ad hoc projects and produce targeted analysis when needed.
