Aircraft Turnaround & Ramp Services Lead

Step into a high-impact leadership role with PrimeFlight. You’ll guide ramp agents, synchronize aircraft ground handling, and uphold uncompromising safety and service standards to keep flights moving right on schedule.

What you’ll do

  • Direct all ramp activities: loading, unloading, towing, and servicing
  • Hit on-time goals by coordinating people, gates, equipment, and timing
  • Run pre-shift briefings and reinforce daily safety objectives
  • Coach and develop ramp staff; deliver hands-on training and mentorship
  • Ensure adherence to airline, airport, and safety regulations
  • Protect baggage, cargo, and mail from damage or loss
  • Keep communications flowing between the ramp, flight crews, and ground ops
  • Verify proper operation and maintenance of ground support equipment
  • Lead hazard prevention efforts and respond to on-ramp incidents and emergencies
  • Promote teamwork that sustains schedule integrity and service quality
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide actionable feedback
  • Enforce DOT compliance for vehicles, equipment, and personnel across airside and landside operations
  • Audit maintenance records, driver qualifications, and safety procedures; brief teams on updates to DOT requirements
  • Coordinate with other airport departments to align operations
  • Document operations and incidents accurately and on time
  • Champion PrimeFlight’s standards for customer service and safety
  • Handle other duties as assigned

What you’ll bring

  • 18+ years of age
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking
  • 2+ years in ramp operations or a related aviation role
  • Proven leadership or supervisory background
  • Expert understanding of ramp safety and operating procedures
  • Comfort with iPads/Tablets, computers, and mobile devices; able to read and interpret digital and printed information
  • Professional communication with colleagues and customers face-to-face and digitally
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Capable of securing required clearances and credentials (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, U.S. Postal—as applicable)
  • Open availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
